About IIWA  

IQRA’ International Women’s Alliance is (IIWA) is an International association of Muslim women and NGOs to be formed to facilitate development initiatives with the mission to empower the women by building their capacities through education, health and skill based development through community participation.
     
 
  IIWA Objectives  

  • Welfare & development of Muslim Women within the Islamic Shariat, including legal protection within the norms of the governance of a country.
  • Generate respectable means of livelihood for the underprivileged and deserving Muslim Women.
  • General Welfare of women irrelevant of their religion, caste or creed.
  • Organise the scattered web of NGOs all across the globe and form a head body for their support and proper monitoring for their activities.
     
 
 
  IIWA Projects  

IIWA has planned to formally launch Iqra International Women’s Alliance (IIWA) in programs to be convened from 7th to 9th November’ 2008 in Mumbai. On this important occasion, IIWA will launch Bint-e-Ummah, a campaign to provide education and employment to Muslim women. The campaign Bint-e-Ummah will start with a conference on the topic Bin-e-Ummah, defining the role and responsibility of Muslim community for the overall development of Muslim women to enable them to realize their full potential within Islamic (Shariah) guidelines.
